Supported Holidays

This is for Participants who are ineligible for STA (they live in SIL or live independently), and for Participants who live with Informal Supports but want to spend time away with their family or friends that they live with.

The Participant’s NDIS Plan pays for:

Support Worker/Registered Nurse (depending on your plan) payment for their Service provided to you when you are not at your home
Vehicle Transport with an accessible vehicle or sedan during the stay. We also offer a transport service with an accessible vehicle or sedan, to collect /return you to your home or to the airport/train station.
NDIS will consider paying for out-of-pocket expenses specific to your disability while away from your home eg: equipment costs

The Participant pays for:

all accommodation, all food, all activities, flights, cruise, train fare (in addition, these costs for the Support Worker need to be negotiated with the Participant).

Note:

We provide 4 ½ star resort accommodation, including accessible accommodation, charged at MTA rates per bedroom per day. Late checkout of 4:00 pm is standard.
We co-ordinate the stay for you including creating the itinerary so that your stay runs smoothly and with a minimum of fuss. We provide the Accommodation, Support Worker/Registered Nurse and transport it you do not have a vehicle.

Accommodation

We believe in providing choices that suit your preferences and requirements. Our accommodations range from individual 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom suites in a 4.5 stars resort. Our accommodation ranges from standard suites with spa baths and accessible suites with 1 or 2 large accessible bathrooms, Hi-Lo adjustable beds, hoists, tilt shower/commode chairs for both children and adults. In our accommodation, you’ll find only the equipment you require, ensuring a comfortable and safe stay.

Equipment

Adjustable HiLo & LoLo bed with bedrails (King dual control available), access bathroom with grab rails (a suite has 2 access bathrooms),
Mattresses: foam, spinal, medium or firm, or air-cell mattress,
Hoist: standing hoist, pivot or bar connection
Shower Chairs: stool, shower chair, bench seat, plus range if sizes of Recline-In-Space shower commode chair (child & adult),
Additional equipment: ramps, food processor, disability cutlery, slide board etc. NOTE: only the equipment you need is in your suite.

Disability Support Workers & Registered Nurses

Your well-being is our top priority. That’s why we offer a dedicated team of support workers, registered nurses, and paediatric nurses. Whether you prefer to bring your own (conditions apply) or use our qualified professionals, the cost of their services can be covered by your Short-Term Accommodation (STA) funding. You have the option for an individual Support Worker.

Transport

We understand that getting to/from your accommodation and community access is a crucial aspect of your holiday. That’s why we offer accessible vehicles and sedans for your convenience if you do not bring your own vehicle. We also provide an extra service that allows you to be picked up or returned to your home or the airport, making your journey stress-free and convenient.
